The uniqueness of Kerala culture could be brought to the centre stage by Global Kerala Festivals or Keraleeyam festivals. All the festivals organized so far were huge successes and won accolades form far and near. All the non resident Keralites are looking forward to the next Keraleeyam. The brand Kerala has many facets like its political history, science, trade, literature, music, food and above all the Ayurveda.
The Kerala Festivals, organized world over in the past few years have inspired Keraleeyam to organize two more such festivals in Italy and London. The London festival, Global Keralotsavam which is proposed to be conducted in November, 2007 will last for three days. This is being done with the help of well-wishers and like minded Associations.
To make the festival more attractive and create interest on Kerala among the large number of tourists, Keraleeyam plans performances by selected groups in ritualistic art forms like ‘Mudiyettu’, ‘Kalamezhuthu’, ‘Thayambaka’, ‘Panchavadyam’, ‘Kathakali’, ‘Mohiniyattam’ etc.
Focusing the four themes like Tourism, IT, Education and Ayurveda, the Keralotsavam will facilitate the propagation of the cultural, social, economic and scientific excellence that Kerala has achieved over the years. The festival will be attended by the glitterati in the social service, politics, Arts and Literature, as well as from other walks of life, which will represent the cultural wealth that Kerala holds on its ambit.
